A Virtual Pride Convention Featuring Revry’s LaShawn McGhee

The Queer 26 is kicking off Pride Month with Pride Con 2021 running virtually from June 1st - 6th. The convention features a variety of virtual, COVID safe activities and events geared towards QTBIPOC/LGBTQ communities.

On June 3rd, Pride Con 2021 features a creative Industry panel with Leo Sheng, star of The L Word, Generation Q, Princess Murray, founder of Compton Pride and LaShawn McGhee, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Revry. This discussion focus on the practical aspects of working as a creative, especially as someone who identifies as QTBIPOC.

“A key component of change is visibility because being visible shows people what’s possible,” says Lashawn McGhee. “I hope that by sharing my experience people can see that it’s important to stay true to who you are while pursuing your dreams.”

Pride Con is a place to meet new friends, enjoy the musical and written talents of our communities, watch groundbreaking films by queer creators, pick up new skills, and be inspired. All events are free, and The Queer 26 members will also receive special goodie bags donated by The Pleasure Chest.

The Queer 26 is a 501(c)3 multimedia non-profit organization supporting QTBIPOC creatives. Through our workshops, services, and projects, we share our communities’ stories and offer resources that allow them to not only survive but thrive while pursuing their dreams.
