Foundation is A Captivating Journey into the World of Drag Queens

“Foundation”, available to stream now on Revry, is a short film that immerses the viewer in the exuberant and often stressful world of drag queens. This film follows a young newcomer, Kasha La Bocuhe as she seeks out the attention from a famed drag mother, Aphrodite. With the prospect of landing a drag mother, she will then have a drag family, or better yet a foundation.

Director, James Elinksi pulls the audience on stage and offers up the best seat of the house to an illustrious performance. The night quickly goes downhill as Kasha breaks a heel, in turn sabotaging her performance. Nevertheless, the colors, the costumes and lighting turns the night into an otherwise once in a lifetime experience.

With the support of her fellow drag queens, Kashas flame is reignited as “Foundation” explores themes of finding what you needed all along where you would least expect it. Instead of seeking out a foundation, Kasha can build one herself from the ground up with her loyal companions.
