OUTLOUD Raising Voices with Jeff Consoletti

Jeff Consoletti

In this profile series, Revry is highlighting authentic contributors to the queer media and entertainment community. We ask questions to find out who they are and where they are going in the future. The questions remain the same but the answers tell their unique story. It’s time to explore and celebrate true representation beyond the limits of Hollywood.

Jeff Consoletti (He/Him) is an executive producer and creative director and the Founder & CEO of events and entertainment agency JJ-LA. For nearly two decades, Jeff has been known for leading trend-setting special events, brand activations, concerts, and festivals, especially within the LGBTQ+ community. He has produced and grown PRIDE events nationwide, from Los Angeles to New York, Boston to Long Beach, including NYC's WorldPride headlined by Madonna. Most recently, he launched his own queer concert series and live event, Outloud Raising Voices, as part of the inaugural City of West Hollywood's WeHo Pride. Jeff's award-winning and celebrated work connects LGBTQ+ artists, brands, and causes with communities in an effort to raise funds and champion awareness. In addition to his work in LGBTQ+, Jeff's distinctive client list includes work with ABC Television, Cadillac, Fever, Hulu, MAC Cosmetics, Netflix and more. Learn more at www.jj-la.com

What are you best known for?

I like to think all of my events make a splash, but I think JJLA really became known for our work in LGBTQ+ events because of our experience with LA PRIDE, who we worked with for ten years and really helped to grow them to become one of the most widely attended ticketed events. Our work with LA PRIDE opened doors to many other PRIDE events as well as a number of charity galas and other high-profile concerts in the industry, from working with The Trevor Project to HRC to Equality California, Point Foundation and others.

What is the first thing you worked on professionally?

I got my start producing events in the early days of "experiential marketing" when brands were first looking for opportunities to drive awareness to their campaigns with more promotional stunts and fan experiences. Most of this work supported launches from TV shows to films to albums. Some of my early events were for The Doors 40th Anniversary, a film exhibition for Turner Classic Movies and a party for Judge Judy herself to name a few!

What are you working on that no one knows about yet?

I'm so proud of what we have created with OUTLOUD Raising Voices, both in terms of the reach we have as a digital streamer on Twitch and our expansion to other markets in terms of live shows this year. We have a big opportunity to continue to expand this brand as we grow it into a recognizeable and sought-after platform to reveal and promote queer artists in exponential ways.
