Violet Grae is an artist and advocate that has been trained in various musical styles including rock, theater, jazz, blues, funk, pop, soul, opera, and R&B. Violet’s fresh take is described as ‘a happy marriage of vocal power and emotion generated by electronic production.’ Violet sings of empowerment, individualism and symbolizes these bold initiatives with her personal style and grace. Being an artist for over a decade and helping the dreams for many artists along the way, has inspired her to launch her company GRAE AGENCY, LA’s most Inclusive and full faceted boutique. She helps facilitate the opportunities for POC, LGBTQ, Women, and indie artists that have been turned away because of who they are. Grae Agency has recently teamed up with Activista Record Label to create new music for both her and emerging artists.

What are you best known for?

I am best known for my voice, advocacy, and being a purple haired ball of light. I have been creating music since I was a teenager and have helped over seven hundred artists along the way. I feel enormously lucky and blessed that I am able to do what I love everyday.

What is the first song you wrote?

I wrote my very first song titled WORKING HARD when I was fifteen years old.  This was the very first song I sang with a band and was the entire reason I became an artist and female front person. WORKING HARD initially started as a blues inspired song with real instrumentation. Six years later I re-recorded the song in New York City and transformed it with my incredible team to an electronic pop song! I got to be a latex wearing superhero in the music video. You can still see me budding and blooming as an artist. 

What are you working on that no one knows about yet?

I am excited to announce I will be releasing my next single BYOB on June 28th! This is the first song I will be debuting in over a year. I have missed performing and being close to my listeners more than anything. I also am teaming up with another Revry artist, CHRISTOPHER SAINT, for a new, innovative project. Can’t wait to share!
